A: The small testing machines are mechanical fibre alignment carding machines, for measuring the length of the cotton fibres. This is the simples and morst reliable testing method for measuring the fibre length: it is also suitable for dyed fibres.
Q: Is a Zwick 1120.28 Tensile Tester suitable to check tensile strength of fabric?
A: This Zwick is meaned to test the strenght of fabrics, foil, plastics, etc. But testing aramide fabrics is one bridge too far for this small machine.
For aramide you’ll need a testing machine with a capacity of at least 30 kN.
