Q: I have seen an interesting used Zappa Rotogravure coating head from 2008 but I am not sure it can fit my needs. What does this machine produce exactly?
A: This Zappa machine is a rotogravoure coating system and doesn't have doctor blade head. The glue (water based) or any other coating is applied onto the fabrics with rotogravure roll.
It is possible to coat and print with “rotogravure” engraved roll; colour printing with patterned engraved roll and application of finish and dressing to one side of the fabric with microdots roll is available.It has usually two horizontally positioned rolls.
