Compact and self-contained design
10 HP DC motor (variable speed) with Fincor 3135 dc drive.
7.5:1 gear reducer, double bull gear & pinion reduction
(179/42 th & 120/25T th) for a total 154:1 speed ratio.
Herringbone gearing in like new condition.
Centralized oil lubrication, unitized base, etc.
Friction: Top/Middle = 1.15, Middle/Bottom = 1.00 (even speeds).
Calender was completely disassembled,
carefully inspected, reconditioned,
primed and painted with anticorrosive paint.
